I have many personal goals, some of which I have already achieved, others I am still working on.  I would like to share my greatest achievement for 2011 which was the birth of my son, Anthony Stephen.  I willed Anthony to be healthy, happy and loved.  Anthony was born a very healthy 9 pound (4.1 kilo) baby and as the youngest of five sisters and one brother, there is no shortage of cuddles and attention.  Curious questions and wide-eyed spectators is what we are often welcomed with when get out and about with seven children in tow.  For obvious reasons a large family is rare in this generation, but for other reasons a large family is what I have always wanted.  I have also experienced many personal struggles and hiccups along the way to achieving this.  More on that another time.....

The best part is how we have such amazing little people all bundled into one home, each with their own personalities, interests and achievements.  They all want different things and I can see this will continue into adulthood when my children start exploring their career.  I truly hope my children have the option to do what they love, so they can be happy at work and in life. 

A recent survey showed that approximately 80% of Australians are dissatisfied with their career.  That is a lot of unhappy campers in the workplace!  And it can happen so easily.  We become trapped by financial commitments or limited training which can make it seem impossible to step away and pursue something of interest.  Does this describe you?  Or a loved one?  Is a change something you desperately desire?
