The ‘age factor’ for the mature age job seeker is often perceived as a barrier to employment. When in fact many employers love to hire candidates from the older generation – they are more stable, do not come with many of the disruptions and commitments in life a budding family will face, have a positive outlook and bring maturity and experience you cannot buy. Put a negative connotation on it and it will be perceived as negative! If you are a mature age candidate – use your age to your advantage!!
